Emergency Operations Center

Prepared for What Matters Most

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is designed to strengthen the District's ability to respond to emergencies and support the community during critical events. As part of the new Civic Center, the EOC will serve as a central coordination point for emergency response, communication, and resource management.

Coordinating Emergency Response

During emergencies, the EOC provides a centralized location where key personnel can coordinate response efforts, share information, and make critical decisions. This coordinated approach helps ensure that resources are used effectively and that the community receives timely and accurate information.

The purpose of the EOC is:

  • Coordinating Emergency Activities
  • Supporting Communication between Agencies
  • Tracking Resource and Response Efforts
  • Helping Maintain Continuity of Essential Services

Supporting the Community During Emergencies

From severe weather and natural disasters to infrastructure disruptions, emergencies can impact the community in many ways. The EOC enhances the District's ability to respond quickly, work with partner agencies, and support residents during challenging circumstances.

Working with Regional Partners

The EOC is designed to support coordination with local and regional partners, including emergency services, public safety agencies, and other organizations involved in response efforts. This collaborative approach helps ensure a more effective and unified response when it matters most.

Integrated with the Civic Center

The EOC is integrated into the Civic Center, allowing for efficient coordination between daily operations and emergency response. This dual-purpose design ensures the facility remains active and functional while also being ready to support the community during emergencies.
